About Klong-Wan

Klong Wan Beach is in Mueang District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It is about 10 kilometers from the town through Ao Manao (Air Force Wing) before arriving at the Wa Kor Aquarium and Museum. Klong Wan Beach is one of the well-known peaceful relaxed marine destinations. It is about a 4 km beach long. There are highlights in the community around Klong Wan Beach such as the fishery and walking around the town to the traditional market. The name of Klong Wan Beach came from the area where whales used to come regularly may misunderstand that there are live whales here to watch in fact, you will find dolphins instead.

About Prachuap Khiri Khan

Prachuap Khiri Khan has considered a province of the central but it is the first gateway to the southern part of Thailand. Travel to any southern province downward must drive through Prachuap Khiri Khan Province with no choice.


During the reign of King Rama IV Bang Nang Rom, Kui Buri, and Klong Wan combined into Prachuap Khiri Khan. There was an office in Kui Buri until 1898, later moved to Koh Lak Bay or Prachuap Bay where the current city. It is a city with 212 kilometers of beaches along the coastline. There are many marine attractions. Klong Wan is the narrowest part of Thailand 11 kilometers from the beach to the Myanmar border.
